Aburaman SHS Campus

Our History

Established on 1st September 1976 in Abura Dunkwa, Central Region.

Aburaman Senior High School (ABUSEC) began as a private community secondary school with just 18 students — 4 girls and 14 boys — to serve as a center for knowledge and employable skills in the Abura Traditional Area.

Financed by visionary community leaders including Mr. U.K. Hackman, Mr. S. E. Arthur, Nana Budukumah IV (Prof. J. K. Fynn), Nana Jonah Nyieku, Mr. E.B. Elegba, Mr. K. E. Sam Quainoo, and Nana Kwesi Osam VII, the school overcame numerous challenges.

Absorbed into the public system in 1979, it operated from various temporary locations until relocating to its permanent 75-acre campus under the leadership of Mr. Paul Kow Simpson.

Today, ABUSEC stands proud as one of the First-Class Senior High Schools in the Central Region.
